Hot Needle Perforation
We operate a hot needle perforation system that can be applied to all our products. The general intention is to have controlled moisture release from finished packages:
• moisture release for baked products, like pies as an example, to avoid condensation in the pack during extended warming, or
• customised needle patterns for whole produce to give moisture release from the pack at a rate that avoids either rot or wilting, like mushrooms as an example.
We can apply perforation patterns in strips of varying widths with low and high density needle counts to get the right balance of moisture transmission. The fine pin hole patterns can be applied over print and barcodes without interrupting text or scanning.
